Those students doing the «recurso», bear in mind that after the written exam you will have an oral, so please read the short stories.

Orals will start at 13.00.

Students sitting only «melhoria» do not have an oral exam.

Monday 9th July, 10 am-12pm, room 04.

Possible content: be prepared for a listening of news item to be rewritten as a news article ( as the 2nd formal task done in class), as well as one of the following: statistical report, opinion essay or problem/solution essay.

Final Marks

Any work not submitted is given ‘0,’ and the final average of your marks reflects this. This is unfortunate as the final mark does not reflect abilities. If a doctor's note was provided for missing an oral/presentation, the average of your submitted work was considered.

Marks will be posted in the Académicos online today.

Class of 07 - adieu

Goodbye, or rather “so long and thanks for all the fish”!! (from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy).

The orals will soon be over, the end of the semester is almost here. It's almost time to say goodbye..... so.....

I have posted thoughts in your group blogs. I hope to get your marks up in the next week and will post them here in the class blog.

I wish you all the very best in your next two years. I have enjoyed working with you this year and seeing your creativity flourish. May it continue to grow with energy, passion and caring. Two more years ahead from which I hope you will look back on this first year with some good memories, some good friends and with some confidence and strength gained in English.

The class blog will remain, though I probably will not look at it too much once you have moved on :-) Keep in touch via e-mail.
